Harbor excursion location precautions and procedures

Please remember to arrive within 5 minutes of the desired equipment delivery and retrieval times. This allows us time to provide you with the entirety of our services without causing us to be late for other rental parties who are counting on us, too.

If you need to make minor adjustments to your pick-up time, please text or call anytime while on your outing to do so. We can usually (not always) make an accommodation to retrieve equipment before or after your originally scheduled return time.

The Lessee who booked the reservation or an authorized member of that person's party must be present to accept or turnover the equipment at the time of drop-off and pick-up unless prearranged with an NES staff member.

Please research the conditions, rules, laws, and emergency contacts for the location you booked before the start of your outing. Trail maps, tide charts, navigational charts and other resources can be found on our website under "Preparedness" within the menu bar.

Cautions: please stay out of the center channel of the river and therefore off to the left (port) or right (starboard) whenever possible to avoid a collision with a motorized boat. Please also beware that passing under the Wiggly Bridge and other bridges can involve strong currents and dangerously shallow water levels that can trap or capsize small watercraft.

NES does not allow anyone to use paddling equipment along the shoreline of the open ocean or on the open ocean. We do not allow paddling in beach areas, within swells, or among crashing waves--these are exposed areas by our standards. Only inshore/inland "protected" bodies of water can be paddled in when using our services and gear. You can read more about this restriction within the Contract or Agreement documents during Checkout.

Never hesitate to contact NES for advice. We will gladly provide you with additional information and tailored resources that can help you make safe and enjoyable decisions.

Have fun and thank you!
